And as Thanksgiving gives thanks for America and her gifts, Mabon is a time of giving thanks for the World. Gratitude of food for all people.

Our Mabon plans will be to sit around a nicely laid out table with some family and friends. We will say what our best and happiest summer memories were and what we wish to happen this fall. Cheyenne will lead a blessing, lighting of the candles and a toasting ritual. We will toast our appreciation for the farmers, markets, cooks and nurturers.Gratitude, the first of many steps to living a well to do existense. A celebration of life.

What are your warm and cherished memories from your summer? What are your plans for this fall? Are you setting goals?

I wish you a blessed Autumn.

Mabon
Autumn Equinox, 2nd Harvest, September 21st

Mabon, (pronounced MAY-bun, MAY-bone, MAH-boon, or MAH-bawn) is the Autumn Equinox. The Autumn Equinox divides the day and night equally, and we all take a moment to pay our respects to the impending dark. We also give thanks to the waning sunlight, as we store our harvest of this year’s crops. The Druids call this celebration, Mea’n Fo’mhair, and honor the The Green Man, the God of the Forest, by offering libations to trees. Offerings of ciders, wines, herbs and fertilizer are appropriate at this time. Wiccans celebrate the aging Goddess as she passes from Mother to Crone, and her consort the God as he prepares for death and re-birth.

Various other names for this Lesser Wiccan Sabbat are The Second Harvest Festival, Wine Harvest, Feast of Avalon, Equinozio di Autunno (Strega), Alben Elfed (Caledonii), or Cornucopia. The Teutonic name, Winter Finding, spans a period of time from the Sabbat to Oct. 15th, Winter’s Night, which is the Norse New Year.

At this festival it is appropriate to wear all of your finery and dine and celebrate in a lavish setting. It is the drawing to and of family as we prepare for the winding down of the year at Samhain. It is a time to finish old business as we ready for a period of rest, relaxation, and reflection.

Symbolism of Mabon:
        – Second Harvest, the Mysteries, Equality and Balance.

Activities of Mabon:
        – Making wine, gathering dried herbs, plants, seeds and seed pods, walking in the woods, scattering offerings in harvested fields, offering libations to
trees, adorning burial sites with leaves, acorns, and pine cones to honor those who have passed over.

Mabon is considered a time of the Mysteries. It is a time to honor Aging Deities and the Spirit World. Considered a time of balance, it is when we stop and relax and enjoy the fruits of our personal harvests, whether they be from toiling in our gardens, working at our jobs, raising our families, or just coping with the hussle-bussle of everyday life. May your Mabon be memorable, and your hearts and spirits be filled to overflowing!

Full Thunder Moon

Full Thunder Moon
By Tara Sutphen

Full Thunder Moon (Native American) at 12* Capricorn will culminate July 3, 11:52A.M. Pacific/2:52 P.M.. Eastern (Almanac).
This Full Thunder Moon is about creating clear communication to step into making more money and security, being proactive and productive. You are to be seen when you work, you are to be acknowledged and appreciated. In any job, there should be a feeling of fulfillment. We are to generate wonderful lives, beneficial, valuable and practical days for our lifestyles. Forming routines to enhance who we are and how we love. What happens when we find ourselves in an inadequate way of life, how do we get to the next stage…
Of course many are burned out at their current jobs and some have never found what career path is best. And it takes some time to establish who you are and what you do. If you’ve been disgruntled in your current job, you may not be able to rapidly be outspoken if you haven’t stuck up for yourself in the past. Speaking one’s mind can be a process of tact and diplomacy. We all know people who blurt their displeasure, there is always a right way and a wrong one. Once you start gently speaking your truth, start moving your daily life in to the areas that best serve you.
And there are new occupations and ideas in keeping with your talents every day. When we need guidance, we must seek that advice. Whether going through a process of learning or refocusing. There have been fading jobs, many professions are now obsolete as the country has changed. Keep holding strong and make wise decisions. When you start moving in the direction that best suits you, you can assess if your current job uses your talents and skills. Many people stay in dead end situations, when the universe has been trying to help construct better arrangements, the notion is not to be terrified, deep down you know how to use your time and strengths. Your ancestors did it and so can you. Not too long ago when the Industrial age came to be, I’m sure everyone scrambled to make better decisions. Change is an everyday fact.
Journal Questions:
Daily journal homework:
• write about what you want to do for a career
• what secret job do you really want to do
• pros and cons of that job
• Say something nice about your job now
• Say something nice about a job you really want
• Write a lengthy note to yourself, how you deserve the best job
• Appreciate who you are
• Write another lengthy note to yourself about what job you desire, rings true or seemsfar fetched
• What ideas or skills do you have to make extra money

We are innovative and capable, many times we hide who we really are. Mostly it’s the ability to start new projects, they seem overwhelming at first. But if you take one step at a time, you’ll notice how free and amazing life can be.

“Times of great calamity and confusion have been productive for the greatest minds. The purest ore is produced from the hottest furnace. The brightest thunder-bolt is elicited from the darkest storm.”

Standing Before
The Moon Ritual Meditation & Sleep Programming
Although you would ideally do this meditation outTrack beneath the full moon, you can also experience it by imagining the moon and four directions as you are surrounded with magical energy … a rainbow of light. In the Goddess’ name, you open to the light. You can actually stand up and raise your palms to the sky or imagine this process of being energized and rejuvenated. Facing North you ask for solutions to your problems and experience many blessings. Facing East you seek solutions and prosperity while trusting yourself to make the right choices. Following many blessings, you turn to the South and ask for increased self-esteem and harmonious relationships with the people in your life. After the blessings, you turn to the West to face your destiny and ultimate potentials. Open your mind and release your courage. The ritual ends with the moon as your guiding light on the shadowed path. It illuminates your dreams as you walk steadfast and proceed on your earthly journey with an open heart. Track 2: A beautiful sleep programming version of the ritual. Listen as your cross over into sleep and explore the four directions into your dreams.

By Tara Sutphen

Doesn’t the Universe set you up with mysterious people. Everyone thinks that, you know. I’m sure some of the relatives coming to land in your personal sphere are a bit of an accident, you know in your heart, they just have to be a fluke. And how about those dandy relationships we’ve chosen. Did we choose? They seemed to be right in front of our eyes, egging us to get onto the roller coaster and we got on for the ride. Or did we encourage them onto the ride. There are people so important and we love them, no matter what. Life seems unexpected and remarkable, and yet do we think our connections are random. And If we’ve lived before, how do we begin to find out.  And if we recapture memories, what is the effect.

Recollections, there are cultures and countries we have an affinity, or an adverse response. Something triggers the instinct and reactions. Like with everything on earth there is some kind of mystery attached, we don’t know the outcome of most experiences that we are living today. We don’t know where we’ve come from, where our babies begin, why we are here on earth, why we have to experience the things we do, whether they are good or bad, and who is virtuous or cruel. Science and Religion have no real answers, the theories are fun to explore but facts, most, if not all are concepts.  Since we are speculating, we may as well research what we can on re-embodiment. Salvaging an approach to some kind of orderliness seems to work best for our minds. And there seems to be memories from other times and places, but they are vague. So what do we do when we want to look at past lives.

Hypnosis seems to be the best way to reach an altered state, of course some people seem afraid but you actually won’t do anything against your moral code. Exploring our ability to remember can be fun, curiosity can peak on where we might’ve lived, who we’ve been, what our career or pastimes were, our love lives, discovering strengths and weakness, exciting activity or misadventures. One of the easiest ways to begin the search is to be guided with a past life mp3/cd or to hire a hypnotist/hypnotherapist. Then there is a guideline to follow, with deep breathing exercises and then suggestions, bringing your mind and five senses into awareness. If you can try to visualize, attune your hearing, touch things, feel your feelings, and taste the food in your meditation…you’ll be more likely to tap into important aspects of yourself. Transfer as much of yourself into your personal movie as you can.

Encounter who you’ve known before, see, feel and hear who you love, who matters now, why they matter, what you do as a craft or skill, are you making money and why or why not, what town do you live in and country, what wars have happened, what date is it, are your current relatives there, do they help you or hinder you. Are you helping or hindering them, how is the government run, how is business run. What are the cures of common ailments. The list goes on and on. Have as many questions as possible lined up. And you can be specific with good and bad questions, why am I attracted to ______, why do I have trouble with ____, why can’t I help feeling rejected by _____, what blocks me from success, why do I feel the way I do to who am I going to marry, what did my child do in their last life for a job, what do I need to do to move my child or people around me into success. What are my gifts and talents in this life, etc………..  As with everything, there is a beginning point and ending details, make sure that at the ending time you release any physical pain or mental anguish. You can do this easily by counting 1,2,3 – saying to yourself no pain, no sadness. The investigation of these past times may be clues of your reactions to joy or fear, and to certain people and situations.

Reincarnation is a tool to clear the mind, answering the otherwise unanswerable, giving rhyme to reason and food for thought. We are the product of our past.

DREAM OF
PAST LIVES

Sleep Programming

You are directed to dream of past lives and to remember the dreams literally upon awakening. Script Example: “Your past-life memories can be released as dreams if you ask. You will relive vivid memories of situations from your past lives. You will dream about what happened. You will dream about who you were. You will dream about your past-life ties with the people in your present life.” Past-life awareness can help you understand what influences, motivates and restricts you in the present.

Summer Solstice

Summer Solstice

Summer  Solstice, Midsummer, Litha

By Tara Sutphen

21st June

“In the world’s audience hall, the simple blade of grass sits on the same carpet with the sunbeams, and the stars of midnight” – Rabindranath Tagore (Indian Poet, Playwright and Essayist, Won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1913, 1861-1941)

Summer Solstice marks the end of the waxing year.  And the rays of the sun directly strike one of the two tropical latitude lines.  June 21 marks the beginning of summer in the northern hemisphere, as  winter begins in the southern hemisphere. On this day, the earth’s “circle of luminescence” will be from the Arctic Circle to the Antarctic Circle. The equator receives twelve hours of daylight, as there will be 24 hours of daylight at the North Pole and 24 hours of darkness at the South Pole. All over the world people honor this day as an important reminder of the apex of light and to cast away evil and their problems. Northern Hemisphere inhabitants use June 21 as the day of celebration, but the splendor of light lasts from new moon to full moon.

Worshipping the Sun’s great power, all cultures celebrate in some way. Celts and Slavs dance around bonfires while Chinese marked the day honoring Li, the Goddess of Light. The celebrants of modern and ancient ceremonies tune in that life comes from the sun. It is life giving and life supporting.  We’ve recently had the good fortune to have electricity, greenhouses, and shipment suppliers. How will you celebrate? We all may not get a chance to dance around the bonfire but it’s a time to bask in the light, sit in the sun, cast our worries away and awaken to our lives.

Full Flower Moon

By Tara Sutphen

Full Flower Moon (Native American)at 16* Scorpio will culminate May 5, 8:36 P.M. Pacific/11:36 P.M. Eastern (Almanac).

The Full Flower Moon is about recognizing what blocks you in your health and psyche. Deep within we want to find the answers to unblock our aspirations and motives.  What vista can we climb to see our way. We can feel lost in the day to day grind. What is it we really are supposed to do on earth. What is, with having to rethink every move we formulate. Some people seem to effortlessly move into situations, events, groups and success easily. Why does it seem that way. When you question them on their journey, they usually say it’s been hard and they struggle with decisions too. Maybe they make better choices… And why does life throw us off balance as many give up or simply go in circles, performing the same patterns and making similar mistakes. What makes us realize when we’ve had enough and need change. Where is the magic key to flourishing.  By what chance have you given yourself to thrive. It’s a notion that something must be unlocked, unblocked, let go to get us to a next stage of learning or reaching.  Why can’t we see it. Where’s the flashing red or green light. Why isn’t it always easy.

We know we want to accomplish “something”, but most of the time it’s elusive. Is it supposed to be one objective and five intentions, a sprinkle of purpose and ten brownie points of meaning. Meaning has a strong pull in making sense of life. Intentions are positive, they can help with taking greater control. Objectives can change as it’s a continuous progress of research and decision making. Purpose is a big order and most often what that means is nonfigurative, as purpose is an intention with a lofty order. Many place it with the significance of their life’s goals, though purpose is not self sacrifice. You can be fulfilled and facilitate, making a difference in others lives without forfeiting your life. There are many levels of helping others and our selves. If working on a global level seems farfetched then we are slated to work toward family, friends and/or community. All self help, all matters of importance start in the home. Even when the life is disruptive or maddening with the initial family, this can point to not needing a certain amount of permission needed to accomplish future goals or “purpose”. Politics, Religions, Work Ethic, Career and/or Lifestyle preferences need a certain amount of approval of others or complete disapproval. Disapproval in youth sparks either insolence or audacity. There are days, years, and many lifetimes that we could dissect our thoughts and psyche, the most important things will be on the last day of this life.  That our lives meant something, who we loved, who we helped, who we laughed with, who we cried with. The soul knows what the soul wants. The mind knows what the mind wants. The emotions know what the emotions want. The body knows what the body wants. We can figure it out , we can be well and flourish…

The worst things we can tell ourselves is I don’t care, I can’t do it, and I’m so afraid. Inherently entrenched within is our survival skills and instincts and when we harbor self doubt and feelings of being lost we can get bewildered and disorientated. There is no need to panic, it takes five minutes to reframe and reorganize your thoughts and direction. Yes, five minutes and whether we live five minutes or 150 years, we are to truly live and love. We are to have a plentiful varied life. And when we keep our health in order and our minds stimulated in the positive search for effect and outcomes we are able to cope easier in the everyday realm.

“Rest enough for the individual man, too much and too soon, and we call it death. But for man, no rest and no ending. He must go on, conquest beyond conquest. First this little planet and all its winds and ways, and then all the laws of mind and matter that restrain him. Then the planets about him, and, at last, out across immensities to the stars. And when he has conquered all the deep space, and all the mysteries of time, still he will be beginning.”~ H. G. Wells quotes (English Novelist, Journalist, Sociologist and Historian. Best known for his science fiction books. 1866-1946)

Full Pink Moon

By Tara Sutphen

Full Pink Moon (Native American) at 17* Libra will culminate April 06, 2012 12:20pm pdt / 3:20am edt (almanac).

This Full Pink Moon is about stepping into our best companionable and comfortable self. What is it that we are trying to achieve when truly being an individual. We think of ourselves as a solid being. When we Like, we Like. When we Love, we Love. When we Learn, we Learn. And when we are unsure of others motives and tactics, we can be cautious and disappointed. When do we trust others, or is it to trust our self. If you risk and love, you can say you took a chance at life and the offerings. We should cast our bold selves running forth through the wind, thinking by chance we will meet people who are in line with our destiny. As we don’t seem to know how we come to be around the people we are related or acquainted with…those strangers who happen to come into our lives and private worlds.

We are all visitors and guests on earth. Initially, we are attracted or brought together through like-minded and synchronistic circumstances. Repeatedly, we admire others sensibilities and gracious ways, and wonder what conduct and character traits we possess and how we are “seen”. Where are we considered exceptional and special. Isn’t it within us to try and treat those chosen to be our friends, lovers, colleagues, family and admirers in the best possible way. Often we want to, but do we. Due to our conditioning and programming, we set forth our agenda on how we behave toward others and how they indulge us. We either step in to be accepted or misunderstand. And we will reason many times in our lives, why we feel the need to be liked or loved.

We’re to remember the divine light shines within all beings, even when we think we are alone and forsaken. We can be so unsure of ourselves. Needing a boost of awareness and others kindness. Are we conditional with our expectations or can we learn to be unconditional. When do we need to stick up for ourselves, or step away from negative situations. The road signs teach us to take a turn at the crossroad. We can learn the pertinent cues of purpose and pleasure. And the more we coordinate and know when to hang on and when to let go. Knowing we’re in a test. How we pass or fail. For to learn the ways of communication, meaning and love is a process and not everyone we care about or for will be with us throughout our journey. The target of our objectives and goals should be to gain merit, respect and appreciate whose thoughtfulness touch us.

We will expect people to come and go in our lives. There are frivolous days of people throughout our social schedules and events. There will be unusual people who try to block every move and create havoc. And there are those fascinating, that we can’t hold on to. There will be some people who lock us in some kind of dismal grip, and be hard to get rid of. And there are those that can’t get rid of us. And when it’s time to let go of people, we will need to grant our sweet friends and family a life they need to live. Many will never look back, no matter if you think they should. You will want joy for all, and some will not know how to find it. We all can’t live for another, but we can love. There will be the extraordinary ones, those so special in our hearts we will never be prepared to let them go. The soul’s dearest to us, this sentiment is the one we search for…

“To be rich in admiration and free from envy, to rejoice greatly in the good of others, to love with such generosity of heart that your love is still a dear possession in absence or unkindness – these are the gifts which money cannot buy” ~Robert Louis Stevenson (Scottish Essayist, Poet and Author of fiction and travel books, 1850-1894)

Full Singing Moon

Full Singing Moon
By Tara Sutphen

Full Singing Moon (celtic) at 19* Pisces will culminate September 12, 2011 2:27am pdt/5:27am edt (almanac).
This Full Moon is a time of deep ponderance and connecting to your spiritual self. How blessed have you been feeling lately. Recalling to combine the soul essence with physical being. We sometimes forget to unite the essential components of ourselves. We can visualize our cells being permeated with sacredness and purity while integrating body strength with our wisdom and trust. Include emotions, as we need continuous reminders to keep ourselves in balance. Why do we tumble down the rabbit hole at times instead of climbing to the highest mountain of elevated potential. Where is it that we don’t offer our uppermost capability. Is becoming competent a learned behavior and may not be natural. The mind has no recollection of what is real and what is fantasy. Thoughts are things, so it’s very important to create the soul agreement of destiny as relevant, saying and doing — physically trying our best to step into a good quality life and progress. No more stumbling forth, only reveling in grace.
What does mastering your life mean to you. Are you the temple of your body, mind and soul. Integration of thoughts and actions, knowing what is truth for you, and if you aren’t living it today you can start in an hour or so. It is never too late to co-create with the power of the God Light. Alignment with all life offers us part of the holy experience to fully appreciate what is outside of us and delving into our personal secret places within. Inside, you have a knowing of many answers to questions, these are from your subconscious and conscious self. Pain is difficult, never trite are these incidents. Life can be magical even at it’s most profane. And that is our hope, expectation and aspiration. Honoring the path of life, recognize and reconnect to your core being to your soul origin. All you, you to shine, the light of life energy.
