It might seem minor but it’s your lessons or rewards. You must choose which dreams are the right ones and how they will flourish.

Full Hunter’s Moon

By Tara Sutphen

The Full Hunter’s Moon (Native American) at 16* Aries culminating October 1:54 pacific/ 3:54 eastern. (Farmers Almanac)

The nights are getting darker now. Rest and Rejuvenate, Dream and Create, Plan and Recharge. We are given an opportunity to take the high road and not the low road. We are asked to step into our personal power as gracefully as we can. There is a surge about relying on yourself, on your knowledge, skills and tool set. You are having an opportunity to clear unneeded responsibilities and old karma.

At this time you are to make progress in your life and move toward wellness and to activate or recharge your career goals.

Move toward advancement. Sit with your eyes closed and take a couple deep breaths, remove all pressure, heaviness and worries away.

  1. Relax your mind – Learn to Meditate
  2. Feel Your Body – Be in Gratitude of your Temple
  3. Open the Senses – Breathe in “Life”
  4. Don’t Make too many Decisions – But be decisive
  5. Take a break every few hours – Revive
  6. Stay in touch with your Loved Ones – Be the love
  7. Read Books – brain stimulation
  8. VIII.Not always needing to be right – compromise or accept
  9. Be the bigger person – keep on track with your life

Here’s some tips on how to make clear decisions.

  • What are you NOT afraid of
  • What are your opportunities to date
  • Who are you committed
  • Over 18 years, do they pull their share
  • Do you make conscious choices to clear your confusion – how.

—We’re to work on creating our personal power this Full Moon Month. All Dreams are born in the dark as our days of light are limited, allow plans and goals to be developed. We can fail many times, but we’ll find what we are looking for eventually. If it’s people, places or things, we are to remain hopeful, polite and adventurous. It’s our birthright to survive and thrive in this world and allows us to become the very best we can be.

Honor all living things, for we are of the stag, and the salmon, and the bee; so destroy not life, save it be to preserve your own. ~ Scott Cunningham 1956-1993 Author of Magic

Full Harvest Moon

Full Harvest Moon

By Tara Sutphen

The Full Harvest Moon (Native American) at 17* Pisces will culminate September 10, 2022 2:59am PST/ 5:59am EST (Farmers Almanac).

This Pisces Moon has asked us to quiet down and come back into our deeper self. Whether it be relaxing more, finding a hobby or reducing the worry, we are to find time for ourselves and reactivate. We’ve been in a fast paced world and being pulled in all directions. We are to look intently at what are blessings have been and be in gratitude. Even all the hard lessons, note what is good and kept you steady.

We have descendants, associates, or acquaintances who rose to help or squelch us. We sometimes lose our way, we’ve been trying to keep up with “what” “why” or “who”. We can sometimes feel unprepared in dealing with others addictive traits or neurotic patterns. Our self-esteem plummets low on the scale when others bring us into their idiosyncrasies, and our confidence is shattered time and time again. Love can evade us or takes us on merry rides, we have to get back on track. Find time for simple pleasure, take baths, meditate, get a massage, silence our minds, draw, paint, do alone things. Get yourself a good book or write in your journal. No complaining, only solutions and your genuine desires and goals. No need to reflect at this time. You’re being asked to search for your peaceful place, to find rejuvenation, to count and recount your blessings. You’re getting ready for a brighter future and to master the goals you set before yourself.

How to Gain a Calm Mind:

  1. Don’t overthink

Full Sturgeon Moon

Full Sturgeon Moon

By Tara Sutphen

The Full Sturgeon Moon (Native American) at 19* Aquarius will culminate, August 11, 2022 6:36PM PdT/9:36PM EdT (Farmers Almanac).

This Full Sturgeon Moon is about being proactive and making “headway” toward achievement. It even suggests some competitive action, not so much with others as with yourself. Find solutions. We all need to work smarter not harder. Winning can be as easy as reigniting your curiosity and passion.

  1. Comprehend who you are and what you need:

Are you doing the same thing over and over and ending up with the same result. How can you change and gain. You can be faster, smarter, and regain an enthusiasm when combining related skills. What is your outlook and insight. You don’t have to be the best but you can begin to be. It only takes a couple more minutes to do something right.

2. Giving credit where it’s due:

We all don’t win by thinking we are alone and can do anything and everything. To succeed we must trust ourselves and learn to be open toward others for inspiration or learning. If someone seems more accomplished than you, maybe they can lead you toward expansiveness and growth.  Learn something new. Remember to be in gratitude and Thank others along the way and give yourself a pat on the back.

3. Grow more confident:

There is nothing to fear but fear itself. When you are willing to do things at a higher level and do your best. You are connecting with a deep understanding on how the world works and how you are playing your part in it.

It’s a time to pause and take aim on what you want again. You’re at the end of suffering, learning once again to include yourself in open consciousness. You are moving toward knowing that you belong, yet you are becoming clear to be individualistic. Take control of your reading material, study material, friendships, family gatherings and group settings.

Here’s some tips on how to make clear decisions.

Forward movement, we have been lead toward knowledge. The internet alone is full of useful information. Decipher, connect, or act accordingly on clueful information.

Everyone knows what’s wrong to do…bad habits, addictions, procrastination or rebelliousness. Bad tempers or isolation, release misfortune and start by being resourceful, capable and enterprising. Learning to listen again. Drinking plenty of water, and meditate. Resonating with the earth and expecting the very best instead of the very worst.

_____We walk the road of humanity and grasp life with our very breath. We need to remember we aren’t in dress rehearsal. Everyday is a creation of the life we want to live. Maybe all our days aren’t filled with how we’d like them to be, but it is in our good will that we start to create fulfilled and satisfied days and nights. It is only a reach away… meditate and then start moving forward in mind, voice and actions.

—- It is never too late to become who you want to be…

*How to become powerful: You must have role models to emulate, you don’t always have to be liked but you must fulfill what people need. You will have to have a “Strategy and Skill”. You will keep strategizing, knowing how to guide yourselves and others into growth and abundance. Be careful as you can end up working in boring jobs for many years and gain no real power or prestige. You can be wanting recognition. But there is only one thing to remember and again plan for, power has “an end”. You will be usurped by the younger generation or go out of vogue in some way. If you can be fair and aboveboard, you’ll gain respect along with money. You can keep going forward, having a great life, well earned and be treated nicely in old age.

*Using your Intuition: Using your intuition and psychic ability to move forward. Feeling good about the decisions you make. Knowing when wrong feelings happen they can indicate going in a wrong direction.

*When meditating, remember you’re going to go past your mind and it’s set ideas, and proceeding toward the heart, taking it deeper, releasing false sentiments and just float in your divinity, going deeper and deeper to your very essence. Reaching into the core of your being. Shift into knowing you will begin to float in calmness as the eclipse takes away anxiety and confusion, replaced is gifts of knowledge and wisdom, quality of time and being one with your adventure on earth.

TARA SUTPHEN CHT FEATURE ARTICLE

MARCH/APRIL 2022

I want to start out with where you were born, where you grew up. What was your life like?

I grew up in two states, Alaska and California. My mother, Marianne grew up in Anchorage, Alaska. She was born in a tent in Palmer and grew up on a homestead. When I was conceived, she was a nurse in Hollywood. She went back to Alaska to work in a Native Hospital for most of her pregnancy before moving to Seattle, Washington where I was born. Birth itself was a struggle for me. I immediately had to have an emergency surgery that lasted almost eight hours. The hospital Chaplin had little hope in my recovery. He read me my last rites and sent my mother home. It was my first near death experience. As a baby, I remembered everything. I could recount details of my everyday life with my parents and great-grandparents. There was a heightened awareness of how my family was feeling about things and how to act accordingly.

My father, Richard was born and raised in Santa Cruz, California. We moved between states because of his projects. He was an engineer, and I was born in Seattle because of his work on the Space Needle for the World Fair. My parents influence inspired my innovative work ethic and desire to help others. I was already considered a different child, spiritually aligned with people and things. My second near death experience was when I was eight years old. I was in a bicycle accident and began to hemorrhage. My father drove me to the hospital and the doctors wheeled me straight into emergency surgery. When I was moved from the gurney to the operating table, I took my last gasp and experienced my soul gravitating towards the light. This second NDE awakened a deeper connection to my intuition that would only grow stronger as I explored the intricacies of spiritual connection.

When I became a teenager people of a higher vibration would gravitate to my energy. Such as shamans, psychics and the masterful seers of the world. Wherever I was they would seek me and read me without payment or prompting. These spiritual guides were from Asia, the Philippines, Australia, Brazil, India, Native American Tribes, Russia, Africa and local. It was as though they were drawn to me from the light within us all, guiding us on our life paths. From birth I have been guided and tested in my ability to walk with my feet in both this reality and the one beyond the veil. My true purpose is to heal and secure the confidence of the mind, body, and spirit connection. The power of the mind has experiential potential. Our perspectives define the limits of our human experience. With practice and patience I believe everyone has the ability to expand their psychic awareness.

What drew you to Astrology?

I was 18 when I went to work on the Alaska pipeline, which is deep in the Arctic. Up in the vast frozen wasteland, I met a security guard for BP and an astrologer, Sharva Venta. His dad was a famous deceased Beatnik Krishna Venta, who was a big tadoo in Box Canyon back in the late 1950s. Sharva asked if I would like my astrology done. I didn’t know what he meant really, as it was before all the computer technology. He wrote out my chart by hand, and it was about 50 pages of this small handwriting. It was inspirational and eye opening as it depicted the very essence of my character. After encountering Sharva Venta, I became fascinated with astrology and have studied it all these years. Mastering the mathematics and star blueprints that define the complexity of human personalities.

Who influenced you to go public with your work?

I had many teachers, although It wasn’t until I moved from Anchorage, Alaska to Ojai, California at the age of twenty one, that I met my mentors and spiritual partner. I have a great deal of affection and gratitude to my dear friend, Jess Stearn. We met at Sarno”s restaurant in Hollywood. The owners Alberto and Savannah had this big table where they would sit 12 or 14 people, but it was bench style so you could get locked in the middle. Jess had been seated by me and we were “stuck”. Alberto says, “tell something psychic to Tara”. He took my hand and raised it to his forehead, he guessed the month I was born. I said “yes”, he then did the same thing to the date of my birthday, I said “yes” and then he said the year. Right then and there I think we were sealed. But then he asked me, if I wanted to come to a seance’ at his house that next week. For whatever reason, I declined and yet a few weeks later our paths crossed again at the same restaurant. He invited me to dinner in Malibu and our friendship bloomed. Jess Stearn was a great author and became one of my dearest friends of my life.

In the beginning, I didn’t know his books but he covered Eastern thought for the Western World. Primarily through one of his NY Bestsellers “Yoga, Youth & Reincarnation” (1965). Jess introduced me to Dick Sutphen, whom I married on Jess’ deck in the early eighties. Jess and I were so divinely connected that later Dick and I had our daughter, Cheyenne on Jess’s Birthday April 27th. Between those two men, psychic phenomena and hypnotherapy became my everyday life and obsession. I became a certified hypnotherapist and penned a column called “Cause & Effect” where I used automatic writing and my psychic ability to answer readers personal problems with supernatural solutions.

Did you have to go to college for that?

During my youth there wasn’t metaphysical schools on the west coast as there are today. I went to traditional college for equine science. I’ve always had a soft spot for animals and believe we can connect with them by using concentrated energy and tone. I really wanted to be a veterinarian. I studied for three years at Equine Science School, but I had three kids to raise. I was trying to find balance with being a mother, running a non-profit organization and traveling to seminars on the weekend. So, I switched gears and attended Art school for another three plus years to give myself a creative outlet for the chaos of parenthood and psychic exploration. I asked my husband if we could open a bookstore and I called it “Malibu Shaman” which is still in Malibu, California today owned and run by Dick’s oldest son, Scott. I was able to order any book, I studied the Psychic Sciences: Automatic Writing, Hypnotism, Channeling, Sorcing, Palmistry, Psychometry, Handwriting Analysis, Esoteric Astrology, Shamanism, & Mysticism, etc. My dedication to metaphysics lead to teaching seminars all over the planet and away from merchant life.

Why were you nominated for Grammys?

I was nominated for Grammy’s when I began writing meditations and recording them. I was grouped with all the inspirational speakers and comedians where they give awards before the music awards. Looking back, it was a beautiful experience. It was fun to dress up and go to the Grammys to see if I was going to win or not. I was rather shy but had to be ready to accept an award, so I composed myself accordingly. I wore black velvet. and another year a long beautiful blue gown. There were pretty people everywhere, and amazingly dressed, certainly moments that I will never forget. I felt very honored to be nominated for my work.

How many books have you written?

I’ve written four books and am currently writing my fifth book right now. The books I’ve written are Blame It On Your Past Lives, Soul Agreements, Abenda Chronicles, and the Abenda Writings. Abenda is my spirit guide, I met her when I had my near death experiences. She said she’d work with me one day, but I didn’t really know what she meant at the time. When I began the books, she would come through and give such great advice. If I wanted to know something about you, I would ask Abenda. I’d call to my guide and she’d converse with your spirit guide or someone who loves you very much and then they write through my hand. I did that for many years. People loved those letters. The book I’m writing now is a little different, I’ve taken people I know who have died and they are telling us what it is like on the other side.

What’s something different you are doing in your industry?

I have an IHypnoTherapy app, a radio show and am doing Equine Therapy. The radio show is called “Transformations with Tara” you can hear me on iHeart and Spotify. I’ve been a radio host for 13 years and recommend it to anyone who wants to be a conscious voice in the world. My show is aired Friday mornings at nine a.m. Pacific time. We start out with a FB Live, I bring on special guests or my brother, Jason D. McKean AKA Om Tarot Wizard as a co-host to discuss topics and phenomena. Jason is a wise wizard and spiritual teacher, he ran Dick and my company Valley of the Sun for thirty years, he has sold over a million copies of OM recordings throughout the world and written a successful book on Tarot you can find on Amazon called “Magic Channel Tarot Reading with the Tarot Wizard”. He is a master of Tarot and does many classes including on-going teachings for Japan.

I conduct many seminars all over the globe and do in person or remote private sessions. I’ve led a variety of workshops on many metaphysical subjects and psychic development. Currently the most unusual class I am offering is therapy with horses for healing peoples inability to connect or bond due to traumatic experiences on their life path. They’ve been incredible appointments. I mostly lead these sessions in Los Angeles, but I’m always open to travel. I work with suggested imagery, shamanic techniques and visualization, I have 12 horses to choose from and they click in right away to the work. I show up and they can’t wait to be chosen. I should say, most of the people who book the horse therapy appointments have never been around horses.

Any last minute words of encouragement?

The power of your mind is a fantastic tool and even more phenomenal when we learn some psychic abilities, meditation or visualizations to enhance our human experience. We all come up against problems, but there is always a way out. It’s very important that we take steps in building a life that nurtures your mind, body and spirit. Environments and influences can always be changed with the right form of motivation and discipline. We create our reality, it’s that simple.

Well, this has been wonderful and I can’t wait to see you again!

Adventures with Dick & Tara

Maplewood became a hotel from a horse barn in 1879, Lily Dale, NY. Haunted of course. I thought you all would love this memory.

ADVENTURES IN LILY DALE WITH DICK & TARA

Road Diary:

Two weeks ago: Tara flew from LAX to Buffalo, NY, arriving at 3:36 PM. I arrived from Roanoke, VA three minutes later, and we met in baggage. “Not bad planning for Mercury Retrograde,” I said. Our baggage arrived in a timely manner. I rented a car. No snags. We were both hungry, so we stopped at a BBQ restaurant on the way out of town … and it took a long time to get our meal.

We were on our way to Lily Dale, NY (the town where everyone talks to the dead). We told a film crew from Norway that we’d be there about 6:30, and obviously we were not going to make it. Elaine Thomas, of Fellowships of the Spirit, was helping to coordinate this project for us, and when she called to see where we were, I explained and promised we’d be there at 7:30. That I knew we could do.

Tara was going to do her moon ritual and the Norwegians were going to film it as a segment of a reality TV show. We’d work with them for the next two days. Then, on the weekend, we’d conduct a “Life Force Activation” seminar at Fellowships. Elaine warned me that it was going to be very cold. It was freezing the previous night, and it had snowed a little this morning. I did not have winter gear with me, so I planned to put on two pairs of pants, two shirts, a hooded rain jacket and a snowboarder shell. I had cowboy boots and could wear two pairs of socks. That should do it.

We sped west on the freeway, and got lost in conversation. Tara wanted to know what I knew about the show. Very little. The Norwegians had contacted me wanting to know if they could film and interview us in Sedona this particular Thursday and Friday. I told them I would be in Lily Dale, NY and mentioned that most of the residents were mediums and talked to the dead. That intrigued them more than Sedona. They would follow me around and interview me. I was to come up with lots of interesting things to do and show them.

“You’re kidding,” I said. No, they were not kidding. “It will be a lot more interesting if you include Tara, since she’s a psychic and a shaman” they said. “Plus I added she’s good at demonstrating her abilities.” I didn’t mention that German and Swedish crews had filmed her conducting Moon Rituals in Malibu in the last few months.

Tara volunteered to do the full moon ritual. I told them, and they loved it.

Up ahead, on the freeway, there were toll collection booths I didn’t recognize. I pulled up to the window and asked how far it was to the Fredonia exit. The kid in the window laughed, “It’s about 25 minutes behind you.” Now I’ve driven this road dozens of times. I’d never missed the exit before. Damn, it was now feeling very much like Mercury Retrograde. I’d gotten lost in conversation and wasn’t paying attention.

Nothing rattles, Tara. “We’re fine, just breathe deeply and go for it,” she said. And I did. We pulled into the Lily Dale gates at exactly 7:30 and as we rounded the corner to our apartment, we came to a stop in front of a film crew of two women and four men. One man was hosting a large broadcast video camera and a bank of lights. Another man was taking still pictures as fast as his finger would snap. I muttered something about not believing it.

“Be cool, Richard. They’re just doing their job.” We got out of the car, apologized. A handsome man appeared to be the host and he shook my hand. The camera man had the camera looking up my nose holes. The lights were blinding. I tried to explain that we had to go in and get dressed for the cold weather. Ahhh, they agreed and followed us right into the apartment (the lower level of a beautiful 1800s house).

I went right into the bedroom and closed the door leaving Tara to fend for herself. I put on two of everything, which I realized was not going to be enough. Tara joined me. “Can you do this?” I asked. “Sure,” she said.

The ritual would take place on the lawn in front of the old Lily Dale Hotel on the edge of Lake Cassadega. Many stumps form a circle on the lawn, and the locals were already seated, dressed in heavy winter attire, waiting for Tara to begin. Elaine provided me with a pop-open chair (there were no more stumps). Tara began, asking each person to participate by talking about their fears.

Twenty minutes into the program, Elaine said she was freezing and had to go. But she left me with a big square of carpet to wrap myself in, along with a blanket. Two of my favorite mediums, Marti and Jessie, apologized for leaving, but they couldn’t take the cold.

I managed to wrap myself in the carpet and do a strange little body and head wrap with the blanket. Only my eyes could be seen. I was still freezing, but I was freezing comfortably. Tara remained sitting up on a stump in her light ski jacket going on with the ritual. Only problem, the moon was nowhere to be seen.

Well, there was another little problem. I needed to pee. I had not considered this possibility. With the blanket, carpeting, double coats, double pants, and no place to hide behind a tree, it was a logistical problem.

It was getting dark. I left the circle as quietly as I could, crossed the lawn to the hotel and walked a block back to the apartment.

Even in my home away from home, I had to practically get undressed. The whole process took 15 minutes. Making my way back to the circle, I realized all the Norwegians had stopped filming and gone back to their B&B. There was still no visible moon, although a glow appeared on the horizon. I wrapped myself in my carpet, adjusted the blanket and hunkered in.

Tara, pro that she is, continued on to finish the ritual for a few remaining locals. The female producer explained that it was just too cold (for the Norwegians) to keep filming. But maybe, after Tara had warmed up, and the moon was in the sky, if she was willing … they wanted her to come back out and film some more. (She did until 1 AM.)

This was the beginning of two days of fun and filming with the crew. The host, Ari Behn is married to the daughter of the King and Queen of Norway, so the world press follows all that he does. I found him to be a delight to work with. I regressed him into a past life, and he interviewed me … a lot. Tara performed psychically, did a healing, conducted a meditation and was interviewed as well.

Our hour segment is due to be shown in Norway, January, 2011. The show is called “Ari Og Per”.

Friday the 13th and Superstitions

Transformations with Tara – Tara Sutphen CHt and Jason D. McKean CHt will discuss “Friday the 13th”

Friday the 13th is called paraskavedekatriaphobia and friggatriskaidekaphobi, they are phobias that describe fear of 13. Whether the superstition be walking under a ladder, a black cat crossing your path, cracking a mirror, or walking blindly through a dark place. These unfounded beliefs have swirled around for centuries and it’s uncertain where these peculiar apprehensions began.

It may have begun due to the 12 days of Christmas and 12 months, and there are 12 zodiac signs. 12 is known as an end. So 13 might be the oddball or strangler. something creepy…

We are lucky or unlucky every single day…we create our great days or our fears…what are you afraid of?
