Full Flower Moon on Beltane

Full Flower Moon

By Tara Sutphen

The Full Flower Moon (Native American) at 11* Scorpio will culminate, on May 1, 2026, 10:24 PM PDT/ 1:24 PM EDT (Farmers Almanac).

This Full Flower Moon is about reawakening to the light of Spring, it’s a time to arouse love and happiness. It is a Pagan Sabbat. Where the Celts used the Wheel of the Year as an annual cycle of seasonal festivals. Celebrating the solar events of solstices and equinoxes and their midpoints. Beltane | Beltaine which is halfway between the spring equinox and summer solstice is a celebration of the union of souls, the union of minds, and the union of bodies. The earth mother calls her progeny to replenish the earth. Flowers decorate hair and everywhere. Maypole ribbon dances, with two circles interweaving around a decorated tree or pole, clockwise dance circles. Bonfires or candles to spark the sacred fire of union and fertility.

This moon not only sits on Beltane but it’s also a full moon at 11* scorpio. This aspect is magical, poetic and mystical. Breathe deeply and realize this is a good to great moon to sit under, to meditate, to reset your best intentions for yourself. Change comes in mysterious ways. And this night is offering such a time to come to peace within your mind and heart.

Relationships, friendships, and work can become uncomplicated.  Patience is a virtue, especially when listening to others’ wisdom and expertise. We learn how to achieve together in tandem. A lovely heart begins with ourselves and extends toward the goodwill of others. Trusting our intuition is a big component. Not everyone has your best interests at heart. But you can, by having the best intentions for others. It is important to live our truth… our progress is to regain our livelihood every day. It is a part of our fate and purpose to be the best we can be.
