Creating Quality & Character

We’d all like to lie in a field and watch the clouds go by, and there is nothing wrong with relaxing. But our lives call for a certain amount of routine and a conventional tone for creating quality and character. For some reason we can lose our way working or playing too hard and not knowing the cues to step into our most constructive nature. We can want something for ourselves, say something differently than what we wanted and/or ending up doing what we don’t want to do, basically, misrepresenting our own natural instincts. Where have we gotten immovable and un-centered, or set our minds in stone and caught off guard with situations. Aren’t we supposed to know better and become wiser as we grow up. We see many people lose their way more often than not.

We do know one thing, we don’t want to be considered aimless. Recognize your skills to become a specialist and not a generalist, clearly speak with honesty and integrity. Acknowledge love as a gift and not as game of manipulation. Accept our bodies to best serve our security and enrichment. For every stage of our growth can be quite a feat. And the more we make excuses and justifications for ourselves, the more time we elude our highest outcome. If we fathom what we want, or what we are naturally inclined toward and really try to understand what our motivation or lack of it means, maybe we can learn to understand. #tarasutphen @tara_insight

Communication with Deceased Loved Ones

Communication with Deceased Loved Ones

By Tara Sutphen

“Unable are the loved to die. For love is immortality.”—Emily Dickinson

We all have a heart, and attached to all its implications. You may just love, and unexplainably be devoted to a person, making an endearing emotion simple without judgements. Love is not just a gift, its an expansion. It’s something we take into our heart, mind and soul. Emotions are not rational, we don’t know why we have an affinity with some people and in some cases specific people can be our whole world..

After death your loved one wants to talk to you. It’s hard to keep in touch with someone leaving this world for the next. It’s much easier for them to see and hear you then the other way around.  but we must try, if not for us, for them.

When we are born, there is a bond between parents and babies, among siblings, students, friends, co-workers and revelers. This affiliation however slight, has meaning for us. We are shaped by the understanding of others. We don’t know where we come from, but we all know we will go there again. Through our spiritual connection there is a pre-birth place, somewhere beyond the stars.

We have a strange amnesia about love. We can have expectations along with sordid emotions. Not everyone loves the same. When our mindset allows us to just “be”, we come into unconditional attachment. Everyone has their journey, and it doesn’t always coincide with ours. Sometimes we think we’re not linked to the people around us while we’re alive. We can feel lonely or torn by the personalities of others. Mistakes can be made even if you love someone. You may not necessarily like what they do or which path they have taken. The more we practice having a broader view of those we care about, the easier our emotions will be to reconcile.

After all we want the very best for our loved ones. You may feel you have lost what you once had. We want to stay connected to those who enrich our feelings. We want to keep them close. Love is a state of being and not always conditional. It’s best to let go of what we feel is uncontrollable. Knowing there is another existence somewhere else, how can we keep in touch? Just look at how much we’re spending on smartphones, approximately $355 Billion. It’s evident how much humans devote to communicating with each other. We need contact, and try our best to stay connected.

When I had my NDE’s (near death experiences) as a child, I realized my consciousness went with me. I knew exactly who I was and what had happened. As I was talking to these two angelic women, I knew I would experience pain of the body if I went back. I asked them if I could go on to the bright light, but they said “no, I would have to go back because I had a life to live on earth”. They told me of many things that I could expect in my future, especially the love of my children and how important my work would be. As I turned around, I reconnected to the world knowing it is filled with curious things. Because of these experiences, I have inner-knowledge of a pathway to the other side and speaking to the ones we’ve lost.

What I’ve Observed:

When a loved one crosses, they want to say goodbye.

When a person crosses over, first you will a visitation dream. They want to say goodbye. They can come to you many times in their new state of being, it’s important to know they are trying to talk to you. If you can stay away from sleeping pills, anti-depressants or too much caffeine you have to stay aware even in your sleep. Write down what happens upon awakening.

How to Observe:

Be open to what you’re about to receive. It could be a smile, a hug or a kiss. They may tell you what they most love about you and how much you mean to them. They may have apologies, share their own regrets, or simply say a formal goodbye. When coming through the veil, you may experience seeing them bathed in a beautiful bright light. It may feel like a dream.

You can ask in a prayer for your guardian angel and sentinels to help connect you with your loved one. Have a journal open by the side of the bed. Include a short note to your loved one.

Ways your Loved one will try to communicate:

  • Apparition
  • Dream Visiting
  • Lucid Dreams
  • Electrical fluctuations
  • Objects move
  • Money, Feather’s or objects at your feet or where you walk
  • Feeling their presence strongly
  • Smelling them or familiar smells
  • Hear their voice
  • See them out of your periphery vision
  • See people who look like them
  • Shamanic signs (Animals, Birds, trees, flowers, the wind, clouds)
  • Messages (song lyrics, quotes, or they’re words suddenly come to mind)
  • Day Dream Visions
  • Manifestation

Love is a sentiment we all carry with our consciousness. Love is Eternal. Remember… the Power of Love.

How to Become the Better You

*How to become the #betteryou:

PHYSICAL: Health and the way we treat our cleanliness, posture, and overall value our bodies is a part of becoming balanced. Our body is the most precious gift we have and without it we can’t exist. If we don’t stay healthy we certainly can’t enjoy all the other aspects of life.

2. MENTAL: You want to exercise your mind to keep it working properly. Keep your cognitive abilities sharp. If you don’t take care of your body it will deteriorate, and this can also be true of your mind.

3. EMOTIONAL: Managing our emotions is important. When engaging with our feelings it’s best to work with our intelligence. In this way we learn what we want and we can be fulfilled. We need always to resolve our feelings and never be irrational. It’s easy to forget how to manage our emotional world.

4.SOCIAL: There is a certain amount of human socializing people need. We learn to treat humankind with courtesy and fairness when we are interacting with each other. Sometimes there are wonderful connections we naturally make. Camaraderie and joy can easily be attained. But how about when dissension or bad feelings come up, those need to be handled and dealt with emotionally. Even if you don’t like to interact with people there is a certain spacial sharing humans need.

5.FINANCES: Whether you are working in a career or a job, it’s important to bring value to your and others lives. We are all a part of a cycle of service to mankind, to ourselves and to our Families. Money is an energetic transference. Learn what your skills are and practice being the best you can be.

6.SPIRITUAL: The relationship you create between yourself and the universe. You can fight your life every day or you can come into resonance and be in reverence of all the opportunities and possibilities life has your offer you. If you begin by

feeling blessed, this will carry into your speaking, your actions and into a better future. #tarasutphen @tara_insight

Summer Solstice

Summer Solstice, Midsummer, Litha

By Tara Sutphen

21st June

“In the world’s audience hall, the simple blade of grass sits on the same carpet with the sunbeams, and the stars of midnight” – Rabindranath Tagore (Indian Poet, Playwright and Essayist, Won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1913, 1861-1941)

Summer Solstice marks the end of the waxing year. And the rays of the sun directly strike one of the two tropical latitude lines. June 21 marks the beginning of summer in the northern hemisphere, as winter begins in the southern hemisphere. On this day, the earth’s “circle of luminescence” will be from the Arctic Circle to the Antarctic Circle. The equator receives twelve hours of daylight, as there will be 24 hours of daylight at the North Pole and 24 hours of darkness at the South Pole.

gAll over the world people honor this day as an important reminder of the apex of light and to cast away evil and their problems. Northern Hemisphere inhabitants use June 21 as the day of celebration, but the splendor of light lasts from new moon to full moon.

Worshipping the Sun’s great power, all cultures celebrate in some way. Celts and Slavs dance around bonfires while Chinese marked the day honoring Li, the Goddess of Light. The celebrants of modern and ancient ceremonies tune in that life comes from the sun. It is life giving and life supporting. We’ve recently had the good fortune to have electricity, greenhouses, and shipment suppliers. How will you celebrate? We all may not get a chance to dance around the bonfire but it’s a time to bask in the light, sit in the sun, cast our worries away and awaken to our lives.

  7. Focus on what needs to be finished and not email, social media, random phone calls or a dirty desk
  8. Tasks should be completed easily, there is a start, a middle and an end. Apply yourself and your skills

Wizard Ways

JUNE 11, 2019

Meet Jason D McKean of McKean Productions in Malibu

VoyageLA Staff

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jason D McKean.

Jason, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I am a native Californian, although I got to LA via Alaska, Texas, and NYC. It was while being in an Alaskan punk rock band, that I moved to Los Angeles in the 80’s. As a musician, I dabbled in rock, classical and soundtrack, but it was when I unexpectedly voiced an “OM Chant” album that my life took a turn. An album that would become a staple for Yoga Studios, Meditation Centers, Birthing Centers and Hospices throughout the world. “OM” is a pretty simple word, but how it’s intoned is key. I had no instruction in the how-to of that, but I obviously knew deep within my being. The OM albums that I’ve produced since are favorites for those going into a meditative state and deepening their own connection to the divine.

As far as my own spiritual journey, this was just a beginning. I’ve always been a good listener, and able to know where a person is coming from. I was given an opportunity to dive in and learn the Tarot for a media project that didn’t pan out, but I stuck with it. I was resonating with being able to connect what I was seeing and feeling and giving voice to it, and helping others in a one-on-one situation. Where my OM albums could help others with the Electronic version of my Self, the Tarot could be the Realtime Version of me sitting with people who are having a hard time. That’s my experience anyway, that NO ONE comes to see a Tarot Reader if all is going GREAT in their life.

Has it been a smooth road?
There was a time after I started to read Tarot, maybe a year or so, that I started to get “full”. Full of people’s pain, full of their stories, their secrets. And I didn’t know if I wanted to continue. And realizing that I was holding it all in, and that it was harming me, I started to give myself permission to let go of it, to clear myself. To not HAVE to remember the details of someone else’s path. To just do my part, and not have to fix everyone. But to be present, to see everyone as worthy, and to offer the best advice that I am capable of.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
My friends and clients call me The Wizard. I am a Tarot Reader in Los Angeles, which has extended to being a Tarot teacher, Radio Show host and guest, and Reverend/Officiant for weddings and memorial services. I believe in creating sacred space for others to find out who they are, where they’re going. This has taken me to a wide variety of places, reading at Wildlife fundraisers on Malibu estates, in a Tipi in the woods, and private parties in Beverly Hills, to reading at Halloween on the Queen Mary and at wild burner parties. My Tarot workshops take me to other large cities like Seattle, Portland, Las Vegas, and Oakland to amazing communities in San Luis Obispo and Bakersfield. The workshops that I like to do best are ones that create space for people to experience their connection to their own intuition and see the spiritual layer at work. It’s being able to tap into Real Magic. When I was a kid, I was interested in magic and I would put on magic shows for friends and family, but it’s all an illusion. The magician practices to keep the illusion intact and the truth hidden. What I’m doing now is to reveal underlying truth by allowing the spiritual layer to have its say. And it has a lot to say!

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Los Angeles is such a great city for any spiritual activity. The interest is high for someone to want to look at their life path and make sure that its in sync with who they are and what they need to be doing. For anyone looking to be a Tarot Reader, there are charity events to read for, various psychic fairs. Dive in and do the work!
